Constructing Perspectives

A SELF-PACED COURSE FROM CONSTRUCT THE PRESENT

The way you see the world was built.

This is where you look at the blueprints.

Constructing Perspectives is a 10-module, self-paced online course that helps you examine how your worldview was constructed (by where you grew up, who raised you, what you have lived through, and what you have never had to) and expand it on purpose. Because the people who stay steady in hard conversations are not fearless. They have done this work.

You can't shift what you don't first examine.

Most of us move through the world on autopilot, noticing what we have been trained to notice and missing what we have been trained to miss. Then a hard conversation lands in our lap, and we discover our default settings were not built for it.

This course is the pause button. Ten modules of guided reflection, real-world examples, and practical tools that build the self-awareness to understand your own perspective deeply enough to genuinely engage with someone else's: at work, in your community, and at your own kitchen table.

Whether you are just starting to ask these questions or you have been doing this work for years, Constructing Perspectives gives you a structured, intentional container for it.

What You'll Learn

By the end of this self-paced course, you'll be able to:

  • Trace your own blueprint. Understand how your identity and lived experience shape what you notice, what you ignore, and what you center, often without realizing it.

  • Close the values gap. Name what you actually stand for, and spot the places where your daily choices have quietly drifted from it.

  • Build trust across difference. Learn what psychological safety really requires, especially in relationships and rooms where people don't share your background.

  • See the systems, not just the moments. Understand how power, privilege, and positionality shape your experience, and how to use whatever power you hold on purpose.

  • Recognize dominant norms and interrupt them. Name the unwritten rules and unconscious bias running your workplace and community, including an honest look at white supremacy culture and how its patterns show up in everyday spaces.

  • Sustain the change. Practice the accountability, healing, and resilience that make personal growth stick past the initial spark.
